This weekend the winners of Viva la Focus! 2009, the mobile filmfestival in The Netherlands, were announced. Steven Jouwersma, Rommie Schilstra and Sumit Roy received prizes for their mobile films.

During a thrilling and packed 'grand finale' led by Dutch actress Victoria Koblenko and Andrew Makkinga, the audience chose the winners of the Viva la Focus! Award 2009. Viva la Focus! Dutch Mobile Film Festival is an online competition and festival that focusses on films made with mobile phones. The winning short film 'The Horror' by Steven Jouwersma eventually won first place, and Jouwersma got to take home 1000 euros in prize money. Second place went to Rommie Schilstra with Gas. Third prize was for Dancing Queen by Sumit Roy. Lectures during the festival were given by, amongst others, Andrew Keen.
